Well...its been awhile since I've sat down and done a detailed piece. I've had a photograph by Frantisek Staud laying around for awhile now that I knew would be a wonderful subject to paint. Frantisek Staud does some wonderful travel photography for you unaware of his tallent. His work is definatly worth taking a look at.
Anyways... Here they are two precious Geisha girls sitting out front of a beautiful building. The girls were surprisingly easier than the building to paint. Using white instead of skintones on a face with shades of grey makes the human face easier to paint lol.
The building....took...me...forever. Too much detail in hindsight I should have chosen a simplier subject to paint. Just kidding.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
