"Journey thou safely through the night....
My childs fancy,
let my dream be your guiding light."
Well, it certainly has been awhile since I have submitted anything because of all my college work and I apologize for that. I hope you enjoy this piece as being that my paintings are few and far between these days, I hope the ones that I do turn out are okay.
It was my goal with this piece to recapture the old world painting style of rich, thick oils with a weathered flare. I love old antique paintings and I hope that is what I have portrayed here.
Painter 8 / Photoshop / Wacom Tablet / 10ish hours off and on this weekend.

So beautiful. i love the lighting, it makes her skin look so soft, and the texture of the sky looks gorgeous. i really like the colors you used, my favorite ones... her sceptre design is beautiful and and and... i'm running out of things to say.
It is very beautiful! The torch that you drew is pretty and unique. The illiumination from the torches gave that soft shine to her hair and skin....making her look a little lost and vulnerable...
The way you drew her with just the back view...makes me wonder what she is looking for or at out on the horizon....
Great piece of work! Hope that there will be more to come....

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done.
